Gibson has brought back an icon of the 60s with the Dove Original! The Square Shoulder Dreadnought body delivers a wonderful sound volume. Traditionally the body is made of spruce and maple, which produces a warm and clear sound. The bass sounds rich, clear and defined. In the highs it is nice and lively without sounding sharp. Robust mids ensure balanced tone. This wonderful balance of frequencies makes the Gibson Dove very interesting for studio and live situations. On stage, the Gibson Dove Original can score points with the LR Baggs VTC.
In addition to the characteristic sound, the look is also unmistakable. The elaborately crafted and hand-painted pickguard with the eponymous dove is emblazoned on the top. Also typical of the Gibson Dove is the curved bridge, which is supposed to be reminiscent of the wings of the dove. There are split parallelogram inlays made of mother-of-pearl on the fingerboard.
