Martin 000-42 Modern Deluxe Custom Madagaskar/Adirondack VTS

There is also a little story behind this superb instrument from the Martin Custom Shop. In January 2022 it was announced that Madagascar Rosewood would no longer be available for custom instruments. It's a shame, because this wood is known for its excellent sound properties. In November 2022, completely unexpectedly, we received a call from the USA that the last two Madagascar Rosewood sets had become available due to a cancellation by another dealer. So it made sense that we would have very special instruments made from these two sets.
One of these instruments is the Martin 000-42 Modern Deluxe Custom Shop shown here. The basis is the 000-42 Modern Deluxe, which in itself is in the absolute top class instrument. As the top material, we chose the powerful sounding Adirondack spruce, which was subjected to the VTS (Vintage Tone System) process in order to obtain a well-rehearsed sound character. Back and sides were made from the before mentioned Madagascar Rosewood. The rest of the guitar corresponds exactly to the specifications of the 000-42 Modern Deluxe. These include flame maple bindings, Adirondack bracing, beautiful mother of pearl and abalone inlays, gold frets, a carbon composite brideplate and liquid metal pins, to name just a few of the special components.

This can only result in a high-class instrument. Powerful, deep bass meets bell-like highs with beautiful overtones and very good string separation. A unique piece that can only be found once in the world!
