Martin 00-45 Custom Shop - Pre Owned

This instrument was built on behalf of a customer in the Martin Custom Shop in Nazareth. After a few discussions with the customer about the visual aspects and the choice of tonewoods, the exact specifications of this unique 00-45 12Fret emerged. Its body is made of the best Sitka spruce, which has been treated with the VTS (Vintage Tone System). For the back and sides, the choice is made for Madagascar rosewood, which comes very close to the coveted Brazilian rosewood in terms of looks and sound. In addition to the elaborate inlay made of abalone for a typical 45-style guitar, the headstock is also adorned with a so-called "torch" inlay. In terms of sound, this 00-45 is probably the best we've heard on a 00-sized Martin. Full, round bass meets bell-like trebles without losing transparency. It is very responsive and invites you to long fingerpicking sessions. With the modified-V profile, the neck has a pleasant V-shape and is not too narrow. 

This instrument is now for sale in commission. The condition is mint. The Martin Custom Shop no longer offers Madagascar rosewood, as used on this model. This makes this guitar very collectible! If you have any questions, please contact our acoustics specialist Daniel Ott by phone or email.
