After more than 1.5 years of waiting, it's finally here! The Gibson Custom Shop in Montana built a 1942 Southern Jumbo Special especially for us. The top made of heat-treated Adirondack spruce has a bright tri-burst, which shows off the wood underneath wonderfully. The back and sides are made of the best mahogany. This gives the guitar a powerful and clear tone, with robust mids, woody basses and radiant highs. The extremely good string separation is particularly noticeable when flatpicking and playing chords. This means that it works excellently when played with other instruments and is perfect as a solo guitar. Thanks to the very thin nitro lacquer, the instrument resonates very freely. A nut width of 44.5 mm was chosen to give the fingers more space. The one-piece mahogany neck with a strong C-profile feels great in the hand for those who like a bit bigger necks. High-quality tuners from Waverly add further value to the entire instrument. The saddle, bridge inlay and bridge pins are made of bone. A "Period Correct" hardshell case is included for transport!
